We think Charlotte had a big growth spurt recently. She was definitey feeding non-stop for a few days and being kind of fussy--sure signs.
She seems to have changed and her face is more lively. We pulled out Sophie the Giraffe for her and she seemed to like looking at it and hearing it squeek.
The gardeners who work in our neighborhood maintain everything to perfection. This is an example of a driveway, one of many that lines the streets here. Our is similar and has to watered and mowed each day. I´m getting tired of doing it so maybe we´ll need to hire a gardener too. They do such a fabulous job. I´m not sure how they get everything so perfect. I spend at least an hour each day on our front lawn and it still looks awful.
It sounds exotic but a gardener only costs about five euros a week and they come twice a week or more.
Whenever you go anywhere in Mexico it seems they have a place for kids to play. This was taken inside the Honda dealership. We have been going there a lot lately and Seann always makes lots of friends running around this play area.
We went walking in the neighborhood Sunday and even toured some houses that were under construction. The houses here are so big. We are still impressed by this. All the bathrooms are incredible. Our house has five bathrooms and it isn't so big. All Mexican houses have a lot of bathrooms. We toured one house that had at least eight!
As with a lot of You Tube videos you have to click the arrow and let the video stream. This just means you have to let it load by letting the line on the bottom fill in completely. Then once it's loaded you can play it again and it will play without all the pauses.
So this was done of Charlotte a few days ago when we did the star pictures. She's two weeks and a few days here. She's kind of grumpy so she's crying a little.
Charlotte is a mexican citizen! We registered her birth on Wednesday. She had to get her fingerprint taken and we had to document her name. She stayed asleep the whole time. In Mexico her last name is Cathel because the baby always carries the mother's name.
Now it's just a matter of getting her American and French citizenships done and getting passports. The American passport will be long and difficult. We have to prove the pregnancy with photos, ultrasound pictures and hospital records. It may take a few months.
Pictures from today. Charlotte is 24 days old! She's starting to look at everything around her. She finally waking up and we're even getting some smiles!
Seann was a little jealous so he asked to be in the photos too. I layed the baby to the side but she cried so I put them both in the photos. Seann has discovered the best way to keep her quiet is to stick a bent finger in her mouth. I'm trying to not worry about germs and just let them interact.
